Our Hosts

Crista Wallis, DVM
Dr. Crista Wallis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Baker University which led her to complete her DVM degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While at KSU she was a 4-year Ambassador with the Dean’s Office. After graduation she worked for several hospitals before co-owning and operating Monticello Animal Hospital in Shawnee, KS since June 2002. She actively practices small and exotic animal medicine with her clients while implementing and developing virtual care platforms for her hospital and others in the profession.
Dr. Wallis was a telemedicine coach and consultant for Vet2Pet, she participated in developing a RACE-accredited telemedicine masterclass, as well as an ambassador for Anipanion. She also shares a podcast, IVETSOHARD, with fellow colleagues Dr. Stacee Santi and Dr. Caitlin DeWilde. Her new book “Beyond the Clinic Walls: Your Ultimate Guide to Veterinary Virtual Care,” is the first resource book for veterinary professionals who want to learn more about virtual care.
With multiple webinars under her belt, several conference presentations, MWI Companion Animal Advisory Board members, and published articles for professional veterinary magazines, Dr. Wallis’ passion for building bonds in the profession through connected care is clear. Having connections in the profession with industry thought leaders as well as in the trenches approach to daily practice gives her a unique point of view for helping others understand and implement virtual care. Dr. Wallis finds pure joy in giving back to her colleagues by way of virtual care consulting, and immense gratitude for all those who have helped her on the journey!
